Terrestrial Biodiversity NARP Funding Release
Dear Terrestrial Biodiversity network members,
The Minister for Climate Change and Energy Efficiency the Hon. Greg Combet MP has released the NCCARF National Climate Change Adaptation Research Plan for Terrestrial Biodiversity, and announced $3.3 million funding under the Climate Change Adaptation Research Grants Program for research to address the priority research areas identified for immediate investment. Associated with the release of the plan is a call for proposals for research funding addressing the priorities identified in the plan.
The Terrestrial Biodiversity network is happy to help network members to develop proposals, however, it should be clear that we do not have a direct role in deciding the funding allocation. The process for funding decisions is described in the Application kit (see below).
The priorities identified in the Plan are detailed in the application guidelines that form part of the Application Pack, available here:
www.nccarf.edu.au/national-adaptation-re...estrial-biodiversity
The decision to identify five of the fourteen key questions in the Plan for funding in this call was made by DCCEE. It is hoped that the other key questions will be funded at a later date.
We would encourage all network members who are considering applying to utilise the network database on aligning research interests to develop collaborative applications (

Applications will close on 21st January 2011.
