Research, analyse, develop and implement policy and regulatory frameworks, and provide advice and project support to OEH and the Minister in leading NSW in climate change policy. Contribute to the development of strategies and programs to assist in achieving OEH priority outcomes and corporate goals. Position is focused on Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation programs.

Selection criteria
1.Broad knowledge of the workings of government and public sector administration principles.
2.Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, and experience in the preparation of recommendations, submissions, presentations, briefings and speeches using a range of media.
3.Demonstrated experience in policy development or related activities including researching, analysing, developing and/or reviewing, and implementing regulatory frameworks, policy and procedural guidelines.
4.Demonstrated project management experience including project leadership, evaluation of program outcomes and development of recommendations to improve environmental performance.
5.Well developed organisation, negotiation, conflict resolution, analytical, problem solving skills, with the ability to exercise initiative, creative judgement and foresight for policy/program development and formation.
6.Effective interpersonal skills to communicate complex and technical and/or scientific information to a non-technical audience and to officers at all levels.
7.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and with people across multi-disciplinary fields of expertise.
