"The Australian Spatial Data Directory (ASDD) is an online directory that enables people to discover what spatial data is available throughout Australia. The information contained in the directory is called metadata. Metadata is a summary document about the dataset, including the geographic area that the dataset covers, the custodian, who to contact to obtain a copy of the dataset and other useful information that helps people decide whether or not the dataset is useful for their particular purpose." http://www.anzlic.org.au/infrastructure_ASDD.html
